Waist Training

Waist Training Review

I have always lusted over the classic, womanly hourglass shape, stalking Instagrams of girls with the 'perfect body' a tiny waist and a toned stomach! So recently is my pursuit of a tiny waist i thought i would give the classic waist trainer a go! I have heard mixed reviews about the safety of waist training and the impact it can have on internal organs. I have also heard mixed reviews on the results that people have had.

I am not saying waist training is safe or beneficial, but personally, i am not going to wear a waist trainer for hours on end, everyday of every week.

I own the pink latex waist trainer, seen on celebrities like the Kardashians, mine was from Amazon but you can get them all over the internet.
So far, i am about 2 weeks into waist training, i wear it mainly around 3 times a week to the gym for around 2 hours at a time.

I have measured my waist to currently be at 29" my goal is to get to at least 28" which isn't a massive change but it is the difference of a UK dress size! Although the tape measure isn't showing a change, i am noticing in the mirror more of a curve and a better shape overall.

The waist trainer is comfortable once it is on and i could easily wear it for 2 hours+ however, as mentioned above i don't want to cause any internal problems or discomfort. I am combining waist training with exercise and a good diet to try and get the best results.

Thank You
Emma

Louboutin 'So Kate' Review

Louboutin 'So Kate'

For Christmas i was lucky enough to receive the, Louboutin, 'So Kate' 120mm shoes! I decided to give it some time to wear the shoes a few times to give an accurate review.

As you can see, mine are the 120mm black patent So Kates, as all Louboutins do, they came boxed, with a red dust bag and lots of padding and packaging to keep the shoes safe and separate to prevent any marks or scratches. In the box is also a small bag with replacement heel caps for if they need re-heeling.

These Louboutins are priced at £425, mine were from Net-A-Porter as in the larger sizes they are very rare and usually have a 6 month long waiting list. They came within 2 days of ordering, and shipping was very inexpensive, around £5.

Fit:
I am a consistent size 8 (UK) in high heels, and would consider myself to have average-wide feet. I was recommended to go half a size up in this style, however, as they are hard to find they only had my regular size so i decided to risk it! At first glance they looked tiny, however, i first wore them with tights to ensure they did not rub! TOP TIP- a tip i read is to apply foot cream, allow it to try and then put the shoes on, this works a treat, i am now able to wear them without tights.

They are very narrow, but soon give after a few wears. The toe is extremely pointed so this is the most uncomfortable area, the instep is also very steep which pushes your toes even further into the front. However, they are comfortable but only for an hour or so, definitely dinner shoes!

Comfort/Walking:
These shoes are HARD to walk in, i have always worn 'high heels' usually 5in or over and never had a problem, however, these shoes are very very difficult, legs feel extremely straight and impossible to bend. Another tip- walk with your feet pointed out slightly- this does make it slightly easier, but i still walk like a penguin.
Here is a front view of the shoes, they look very classy and sophisticated on, at first i thought the point was too long, however, once on they look perfect and i am able to get over the pain and the penguin walk!

I don't think i will get much use out of these shoes, dinner only! Mainly because i want to keep a pristine red sole, but they are also a little impractical.

Thank you!

Triangl Bikini Review

Triangl Bikini Review

Today's post is on the Instagram trend, Triangl bikinis! This brand came to my attention last year, however, i could not justify so much money on a bikini! This year, my goal is to lose some weight and too look like one of the Triangl models! Never will happen but i can dream.

My bikini of choice was the 'Lily' in 'Strawberry Kiss'

$89
If you are unaware, all Triangl bikinis are made from thick neoprene material similar to a wetsuit! Therefore, there is very to no little give or stretch.

The bikini comes in a matching bag with drawstrings perfect for the beach! It is great for storing the bikini as it is recommended they are stored flat as the material is easily marked and dented.

About:

As the pictures show, the top has a working zip that you are able to open to give you a little more space, yet it still feels secure, the back has a seat belt style fastening that makes it very easy to do up. The back also shows the full bum coverage which i like! The bottoms cut on the hip but covers enough to feel comfortable. The material is not very stretchy, however, the top has a little give- more than the bottoms.

Sizing:

After reading many reviews and speaking to the very friendly girl available on Triangls live chat i decided to order my bikini, both top and bottoms in 'XL' I am an average size 12 but consider myself to have wide hips!
The top fits perfectly, although, i am not blessed in the chest department, it is a comfortable fit and everything is covered

The bottoms are slightly snug and cut in a little, however, for me, my goal is to lose some weight to make this bikini look better!

Shipping:
Triangl estimated that the bikini should arrive within 8-10 working days but for me it had arrived in 4! Which was amazing, the shipping at $20 is pretty steep, i wish i had ordered another bikini to justify the shipping rate.

Although these are expensive, they are defiantly worth the investment, i think this is a bikini that will last a while and will look great on my summer holidays! I will definitely be purchasing another one and can't wait to get my new bikini!

EDIT: 5/02/2015- today i received a letter from FedEx charging me £23.50 custom taxes, a bill was slightly expected, however, i did not expect something this expensive on top of all the other expensive Triangl prices! Apparently, it is not every parcel that gets charged a custom fee, i seem to be an unfortunate one! Not a nice invoice to wake up to!
